TEMcompany Unveils TEM2Go: A Revolutionary Solution for Subsurface Mapping
Aarhus, Denmark – [April 14, 2025] – TEMcompany, a leader in geophysical instrumentation, today announced the official release of TEM2Go, a breakthrough portable transient electromagnetic system designed to bring advanced subsurface mapping capabilities to the most challenging terrains. With the TEM2Go, if a technician can walk the surface, it can be surveyed.
Built for hydrogeology, mining, geotechnical engineering, and environmental assessments, TEM2Go combines real-time geological imaging, high-resolution data acquisition, and unmatched mobility – all in an ergonomic backpack-based design. Whether characterizing aquifers, mapping tailings dams, or monitoring landfills, TEM2Go enables precision mapping from the surface down to 75 meters.

Lightweight Powerhouse
At the heart of TEM2Go is a compact, dual-moment transmitter and high-bandwidth receiver mounted on professional-grade backpacks. Together, they weigh just 25 kg yet provide a depth of investigation (DOI) of up to 75 meters from the surface. The system automatically captures position and elevation data via built-in GPS, requiring minimal setup time.
Despite its portable size, the TEM2Go achieves impressive signal-to-noise ratios. It implements state-of-the-art AI-based processing algorithms and fast numerical routines to display the subsurface directly beneath the operators’ feet.
Real-Time Insight at Your Fingertips
Controlled via an intuitive iOS or Android app, TEM2Go requires no specialist knowledge to operate. With the Premium subscription, users gain real-time data inversion and visualization, map-based line tracking, and on-the-fly assessment of data quality, fit, and DOI.

TEM2Go is built for flexibility with a modular software platform, future-ready hardware, and remote upgrade capabilities. TEMcompany’s Extended Support plan provides clients with direct access to experts for survey planning, data quality control, and interpretation.
Data can be exported to industry-standard software such as Seequent’s Workbench for advanced processing.
