The TEM2Go
TEM2Go
The TEM2Go delivers accurate data from the surface to depths of 75 m depending on geology.
Operated via an Android or iOS App, the TEM2Go's wirelessly connected transmitter and receiver are separated by a distance of 15 – 20 m (50 - 65 ft). Data is measured continuously while walking, capturing the conductivity structure of the subsurface from the top surface to depths of 75 m dependent on the resistivity of the geological layers. The TEM2Go has real-time processed data, inverted models, and a map display.

Get to know the TEM2Go
Next-generation geoscanner for construction, groundwater mapping, managed aquifer recharge, and mining.
The TEM2Go is built to deliver high-quality transient electromagnetic data suitable for effectively and quickly mapping survey areas, monitoring tailing dams, mapping clay and sand on the road transect, depth to bedrock, discovering suitable drill locations, and minimizing the chance of an unexpected underground barriers when planning construction sites.
TEM2Go overview
The TEM2Go geoscanner delivers efficient and reliable data where underground information covering the interval from the surface to a depth of 75 m (246 ft) is required. It conducts continuous measurements with a wireless coupled transmitter and receiver.
Affordable and robust, the TEM2Go operates via an Android or iOS app. With its compact setup, the TEM2Go enables discreet and non-invasive geophysical surveys. The transmitter operates with dual moments and has a stable and fast waveform.
The low movement is 1 Amp with a turn-off time of only ~3 us, and the first gate is measured already in 4.5 us. The high moment is 10 Amp. The significant depth of investigation is obtained with a repetition frequency as high as 2.8 kHz for the low moment and 1.8 kHz for the high moment.
The TEM2Go samples the subsurface along 2-D transects in any terrain. The separation between the transmitter and receiver has to be 15 m (50 ft) or more. The lightweight and portable TEM2Go receiver weighs as little as 10 kg (22 lb). The receiver operates independently of the transmitter, connected via mesh WiFi. The distance between transmitter and receiver is measured continuously with an accuracy of 10 cm (4 in.), and the GPS coordinates of the two units are measured with a precision better than 1 m (3 ft) when SBAS is possible.
The design of the receiver coils further enhances the signal-to-noise ratio, allowing the instrument to measure deeper with reduced transmitter power.
The app controller
The TEM2Go is managed by the user-friendly TEM2Go Controller app, which is available for Android and iOS. The app can easily be installed from the Google Play or Apple App Store.
The connection process is straightforward. The TEM2Go Controller app connects directly to the WiFi of the sTEM instrument. Delivering data from the receiver to the app is a simple process. The easy setup enables you to be up and running in the field quickly and efficiently.
In the app, you can see:
Data curves as they are being collected
Processed data and inverted models
Real-time map and section view
Project and line management
Transmitter receiver distance monitoring and alarm if out of range.
Monitoring system parameters like current for high and low moments, system temperature, etc.

Data processing
Data is processed in real-time and inverted into models for in-the-field survey planning and instantaneous evaluation of the subsurface structure. This is done by using AI for data processing and advanced filtering.
Data is inverted with a code capable of taking account of the receiver and transmitter system, as well as the distance and height above ground of the transmitter and the receiver.
After measurement in the field, data can be imported into third-party software for further processing and inversion, or the real-time models can be displayed in GIS software.
Updates
The TEM2Go can easily be updated with over-the-air software and firmware upgrades.
WiFi and internet connectivity deliver seamless data upload and provide remote support capabilities.

TRANSIENT ELECTROMAGNETIC GEOPHYSICAL SURVEYS
Why use TEM technology?
Our TEM technology
The Transient Electromagnetic (TEM) geophysical survey method is a modern technique designed to measure vertical resistivity profiles with particular sensitivity to conductive materials.
- Particularly sensitive to conductive materials
- Non-invasive method using wire loops to transmit and receive signals
- Leaves no trace on the survey site after data collection
- Highly efficient, requiring a transmitter loop and one or two smaller receiver coils
- Can achieve depth measurements of up to 600 meters
- Entire process takes only a few minutes, from setup to resistivity modeling
Where to use TEM
TEM surveys are highly versatile and are particularly effective in the following areas. Our instruments deliver accurate, fast data to solve many geophysical challenges.
Groundwater Exploration: Identifies freshwater reserves, saline water, and contamination zones to optimize well placement and drilling depth.
Mineral Detection: Locates mineral deposits based on their unique resistivity signatures.
Geological Mapping: Reveals the subsurface structure for various geological studies.
Environmental Surveys: Assesses contaminants and salination in the soil.
The benefits of TEM
Transient Electromagnetic (TEM) mapping is a non-invasive method that ensures that survey areas remain undisturbed, as it uses wire loops to transmit and receive electromagnetic signals without leaving physical marks on the terrain.
TEMcompany geoscanners enable fast, accurate geophysical data collection alongside easy instrument setup, delivering significant time savings for consultants, contractors, and clients.
