Every TEMcompany instrument- sTEM, tTEM, xTEM, and TEM2Go ships ready to survey, with basic app functionality and data export to a Windows PC for post-survey processing. The workflow is efficient, but it means you need to be back at your desk before you can uncover deeper insight in your collected data.

Premium functionality changes that. Available on a yearly subscription across the full instrument range, Premium functionality unlocks a set of features in the iOS/Android app that move processing, visualization, and quality control into the field itself, so you can see your subsurface models forming while you’re on site.

Make on-the-go decisions about your survey in the field; ensure you have the exact data you need before leaving the site. Premium functionality gives you the extra information you need to make fast, accurate data decisions on site, where it matters.

Here’s what’s included:

• Real-Time Inversion
  Field measurements are processed on the spot using a smooth 1D model, giving you immediate insight into subsurface resistivity as you survey. Rather than waiting for post-processing, the model builds live in a cross-section view, with its position shown on the map as you move. For teams planning multi-day surveys, this means spotting a promising or problematic zone early enough to adjust the plan on the same day.
• Station Stack
  See all soundings, not only the averaged one, with the accumulated station stack shown as you go. This gives you full transparency into your data as it’s collected, rather than a single blended result – useful for spotting noisy stations or inconsistent readings before they become a problem in the office.
• Apparent Resistivity Curve
  View the variation of apparent resistivity with time, instead of only dB/dt curves. For many users, an apparent resistivity view is a more intuitive way to judge data quality and subsurface response in the field, without needing to translate raw transient data mentally.
• Tapered Gating
  Individual transients are gated using non-square, tapered gates rather than standard square gates – boosting your signal-to-noise ratio by up to a factor of 2. The result is cleaner data, particularly useful in noisy environments or when working near infrastructure like power lines.
• DOI & Data Fit Quality
  Depth of investigation is calculated alongside the quality of the data fit, with both shown directly in the cross section. Instead of guessing how far your model can be trusted, you get a clear, quantified answer at every point along your survey line.
• Site Notes & Pictures
  Add notes and pictures of the site straight from the app, keeping documentation together with your data rather than scattered across separate files, notebooks, or camera rolls. Months later, when you’re writing up results, the context is exactly where you need it.
• Free Windows Viewer
  A free Windows viewer for displaying measured data on cross sections and maps is included with every Premium subscription, so results can be reviewed, shared, and discussed with colleagues who weren’t in the field, without needing the mobile app itself.
